Orkut attacked by 'Bom Sabado' worm


 In the second major XSS (cross-site scripting) attack on a major social networking service this week, Google owned Orkut was flooded with "Bom Sabado" scraps.

The word "Bom Sabado" means "Good Saturday" in Portuguese, which is the also the official language of Brazil, one of the last remaining Orkut bastions in the world.

The worm seems to be posting scraps with the text "Bom Sabado" and also adding affected users to new Orkut groups. Such XSS attacks have targeted Orkut in the past too.

Experts have advised users to avoid logging on to Orkut till Orkut engineers fix the hole and also not to click on any suspicious links. Orkut had just last month announced new updates to the website.

Earlier this week, the popular microblogging website Twitter was also at the receiving end of an XSS exploit. The attack, which emerged and was shut down within hours Tuesday morning, involved a XSS flaw that allowed users to run JavaScript programs on other computers.

A 10 year old boy, had eaten pineapple about 15 days back, and fell
sick, from the day he had eaten. Later when he had his Health check
done...... doctors diagnosed that he had AIDS.

His parents couldn't believe it...Then the entire family under went a
checkup... none of them suffered from Aids. So the doctors checked
again with the boy if he had eaten out.....The boy said 'Yes'. He had
pineapple that evening. Immediately a group from the hospital went to
the pineapple vendor to check. They found the pineapple seller had a
cut on his finger while cutting the pineapple; his blood had spread
into the fruit.


When they had his blood checked...the guy was suffering from
AIDS...but he himself was NOT aware. Unfortunately the boy is now
suffering from it.

आपल्याला स्वातत्र्य मिळून ६० वर्ष झाली परंतु आजही  ग्रामीण भागातील परिस्थिती बिकट आहे. ... आणि त्याची प्रचीती नुकतीच आली.
वाशीम जील्य्हातील ग्रामस्थांनी गाव विकायला काढला आहे. पक्या रस्त्यान अभावी गावकरी कंटाळले असून प्रशासन लक्ष देत नाही नसल्याची तक्रार नागरिक करत आहेत. त्यासाठी वाघोली खुर्द आणि  वाघोली बु. विकायची आहेत असा फलक देखील लावण्यात आला आहे. गावकर्यांना व विद्यार्थांना कोकाल्गवत जायचे असल्यास काटेकुटे व चिखलातून वाट काढत पायपीट करावी लागते. तसेच रस्त्याच्या मध्ये दोन मोठे ओढे आहेत त्यातून मार्ग काठाव लागतो हा ओढ्यांवर पूल  देखील नाही. त्यामुळे ग्रामस्थांचे हाल होत आहेत पण प्रशासनाला लक्ष द्यायला वेळच नाही.

कनिष्ठ मध्यमवर्ग या घटकांकरिता एकूण फ्लॅटपैकी २० ते २५ टक्के घरे उपलब्ध करून देणे

बिल्डरांवर बंधनकारक केले आहे. त्यामुळे या समाजघटकांना किमान ३५० ते कमाल ५५० 

चौरस फूट क्षेत्रफळाची टू बीएचके व थ्री बीएचके घरे उपलब्ध होतील. मध्यमवगीर्यांना १० टक्के 

घरे देणे बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांना सक्तीचे असणार आहे. त्यामुळे मध्यमवगीर्यांना अडीच 

बीएचकेची ६०० ते १००० चौरस फूट क्षेत्रफळाची घरे उपलब्ध होतील.

 एकदा लग्न झालं की,  आपलं आयुष्यसुखात जाईल असं आपल्याला वाटत असतं...

अशा अनेक इच्छांच्या अंगाने वाढतच जाते .
दरम्यानच्या काळात , आपली मुलं अद्याप मोठी झालेली नाहीत. ती जरा मोठी झाली की सारं ठीक होईल , अशी आपण मनाची समजूत घालू लागतो .

मुलांच्या वाढत्या वयात, त्यांच्या भवितव्याच्या सुंदर स्वप्नांनी आपण आपले दिवस सजवत असतो. मुलं जरा करती सवरती झाली की सारं कसं आनंदानं भरून जाईल, असं आपल्याला वाटत असतं.

आपला नवरा / बायको जरा नीट वागायला लागला लागली की...
आपल्या दाराशी एक गाडी आली की...
आपल्याला मनाजोगी सुटी मिळाली की...
निवृत्त झालो की...
आपलं आयुष्य कसं सुखानं भरून जाईल, असं आपण सतत स्वतःशीच घोकत असतो .

खरं असंय, की आनंदात असण्यासाठी, सुखात असण्यासाठी आत्ताच्या वेळेपेक्षा दुसरी योग्य वेळ कोणतीही नाही.
आयुष्यात आव्हानं तर असणार आहेतच. ती स्विकारायची आणि ती झेलता झेलताच आनंदी राहायचा निश्चय करायचा हेच बरं नाही का ?

जगायला - खरोखरीच्या जगण्याला - अद्याप सुरुवात व्हायचीये, असंच बराच काळ वाटत राहतं.
पण, मध्ये बरेच अडथळे असतात . काही आश्‍ वासनं पाळायची असतात , कोणाला वेळ द्यायचा असतो,

काही ऋण फेडायचं असतं ....
आणि अगदी शेवटी कळतं, की ते अडथळे म्हणजेच जीवन होतं.

या दृष्टिकोनातून पाहिलं की कळतं,
आनंदाकडे जाणारा कोणताही मार्ग नाही.
आनंद हाच एक महामार्ग आहे.
म्हणून प्रत्येक क्षण साजरा करा.

शाळा सुटण्यासाठी ... शाळेत पुन्हा जाण्यासाठी... वजन चार किलोने कमी होण्यासाठी... वजन थोडं वाढण्यासाठी... कामाला सुरुवात होण्यासाठी... एकदाचं लग्न होऊन जाऊदे म्हणून... शुक्रवार संध्याकाळसाठी... रविवार सकाळसाठी ...नव्याकोऱ्या गाडीची वाट बघण्यासाठी... पावसासाठी ... थंडीसाठी... सुखद उन्हासाठी... महिन्याच्या प���िल्या तारखेसाठी... आपण थांबून राहिलेले असतो .
एकदाचा तो टप्पा पार पडला की, सारं काही मनासारखं होईल, अशी आपणच आपली समजूत घातलेली असते . पण, असं काही ठरवण्यापूर्वी आनंदी होण्याचं ठरवा.

आता जरा या पुढे दिलेल्या प्रश्‍नांची उत्तरं द्या पाहू -

१ - जगातल्या पहिल्या दहा सर्वांत श्रीमंत माणसांची नावं सांगा पाहू .
२ - गेल्या पाच वर्षांत विश्‍वसुंदरी किताब मिळवणऱ्यांची नावं आठवतायत?
३ - या वर्षीच्या पाच नोबेल विजेत्यांची नावं सांगता येतील?
४ - गेल्या दोन वर्षांतल्या ऑस्कर विजेत्यांची नावं लक्षात आहेत का ?

हं! काहितरीच काय विचारताय? असं तर वाटलं नाही ना तुम्हाला? पण , असं वाटलं नसलं तरी, या प्रश्‍नांची उत्तरं देमं तसं सोपं नाहीच, नाही का ?

क्षणभर विचार करा .
आयुष्य अगदी छोटं आहे.

मी सांगतो.
जगप्रसिद्ध व्यक्तींच्या यादीत तुमचं नाव नक्कीच नाहिये . पण, हा मेल ज्यांना आवर्जून पाठवावा असं मला वाटलं, त्यांच्या यादीत तुमचं नाव नक्कीच आहे....

आता एक गोष्ट.
काही वर्षांपूर्वीची. सिएटलच्या ऑलिम्पिकमध्ये शंभर मीटर धावण्याच्या स्पर्धेत सहभागी झालेले नऊस्पर्धक स्पर्धा सुरू होण्याच्या संकेताची वाट पाहात जय्यत तयार उभे होते. ही सारी मुलं शारीरिक किंवा मानसिकदृष्ट्या अपंग होती.

पिस्तुलाचा आवाज झाला आणि शर्यत सुरू झाली. साऱ्यांनाच पळता येत होतं असं नाही. पण, प्रत्येकाला स्पर्धेत भाग घ्यायचा होता आणि महत्त्वाचं म्हणजे जिंकायचं होतं.

धावता धावता एकाचा तोल गेला. काही गोलांट्याखाऊन तो पडला आणि रडू लागला. त्याच्या रडण्याचा आवाज ऐकून अन्य आठही जण पळायचे थांबले. सारे मागे फिरले... सारे जण... "डाउन्स सिन्ड्रोम'ची व्याधी असलेली एक मुलगी त्याच्या जवळ बसली. तिने त्याला मिठी मारली आणि मग विचारलं, 'आता बरं वाटतंय?' मग साऱ्यांनी त्याला उभं केलं आणि अंतिम रेषेपर्यंत सारे खांद्याला खांदा लावून चालत गेले.  
ते दृष्य पाहून मैदानावर उपस्थित असलेले सारेजण हेलावून गेले. उभे राहून मानवंदना देत साऱ्यांनी टाळ्यांचा कडकडाट केला. बराच काळ त्या टाळ्यांचा आवाज आसमंतात गुंजत होता...
त्यावेळी तिथे उपस्थित असलेली मंडळी अजूनही त्या घटनेची आठवण काढतात.
का?

कुठेतरी आत खोलवर आपल्याला प्रत्येकाला ठाऊक असतं की आयुष्यातली सर्वांत महत्त्वाची गोष्ट असते ती स्वतःसाठी जिंकण्यापेक्षा कितीतरी मोठी असते .

आयुष्यातली सर्वांत महत्त्वाची गोष्ट असते ती म्हणजे इतरांना जिंकायला मदत करणं. त्यासाठी वेळप्रसंगी आपला वेग कमी करावा लागतो किंवा अगदी शर्यतच बदलावी लागते.

शक्‍य तितक्‍या लोकांना हे सांगा . त्यानं आपलं हृदयपरिवर्तन घडून येईल. कदाचित इतरांचंही...
दुसरी मेणबत्ती लावण्यासाठी वापरल्याने पहिल्या मेणबत्तीचं काहीच कमी होत नाही.

    It’s happened to most of us. We were concerned about the effect the Plaster of Paris (PoP) Ganesh idol had on the environment and wanted to opt for an eco-friendly version of the idol, but changed our minds because we’d think that it was too expensive. Well, all that is about to change. This reporter found out that this year, it is probably cheaper to get your hands on an eco-friendly Ganesh idol. Paper, chalk powder, arrowroot and mould – these are the basic ingredients being used to make eco-friendly Ganesh idols. The price of these idols are 40 per cent less than the ones made out of plastic of paris, shaddu or pure clay. They are also 50 per cent lighter than their ecology-damaging counterparts. What’s better is that these eco-friendly idols dissolve in water within two hours unlike the PoP ones that get washed back onto the river banks after visarjan.
    These green idols are being made in Narayan Peth near Dasbhusja Ganpati Mandir. More than 50 followers of Sadguru Shri Anuruddha Bapu are of putting finishing touches on 500 eco-friendly idols. They have dispatched 500 idols to different cities. Sadguru Shri Aniruddh Upsana Kendra started making Ganesh idols in 2004. This year, they entered the market to promote social responsibility towards the environment and to provide affordable idols to people interested in buying eco-friendly idols.
    Sadguru Shri Anruddh Upsana Kendra’s experiment in 2004 started with the idols being made mainly for its followers. However, this year, the Kendra decided to sell green idols to the public. Pravinsinh Wagh, a follower of Bapu, said, “For the last six years, 50 followers have been making eco-friendly idols. We use paper from stacks of books in our possession that have been used to write ‘Ram Naam’ by devotees. A kendra collects more than a lakh books within a month. We use these papers, glue and eco-friendly colours provided to us by Pidilite. A person can make an idol, complete with colouring within five hours. All the 50 followers who craft these green idols devote one to two hours of their time after they are done with their regular jobs.”
    Talking about the virtues of these green idols, he adds, “Our idols dissolve in water within two hours, while other idols made of PoP do not dissolve in water. Our idols are also priced modestly – Rs 250 to 450. The height of these idols range from one to four feet and weigh between one and 2.5 kg respectively. PoP idols of same height weigh between 1.5 and 3.5 kg.”
    To spread awareness about the merits of installing an eco-friendly Ganesh idol this Ganeshotsav, the group is also giving demonstrations of how they make the idols in schools and other institutions. “If anyone wants to explore this idea for commercial purposes, they can. However, we are followers of Bapu, so we are restricted from commercialisation.”
    Ashwini Barawkar, a Ganesh devotee from Sukhsagar Nagar in Katraj, said, “I have been buying and installing PoP idols for many years now, but this year onwards, I have decided to buy ecofriendly idols and care for the environment. As these idols dissolve in water without harming ecology, I came here to purchase one this year.”

WHY POP IS HARMFUL
    POP contains sulphur, phosphorus, magnesium.
    Artificial colours used to decorate the idol contain cadmium and sodium tricholorophinate
    POP does not dissolve in water and so it the natural flow of water

MAKING AN ECO-FRIENDLY GANESHA
    Take waste paper and cut it into small strips. Soak these strips in water for two days. This will cause the paper to become pulp. Add some chalk powder to the pulp to help it bind better and make a dough. Then, take a mould, spread some oil on it’s inner surface and put some pulp into it. Stand the mould for two hours, or about a day, (depending on the weather) and allow it to dry. Once the pulp has completely dried, carefully remove the idol from the mould. Make the hands of the idol in the similar manner and use water to paste it to the idol. Next, colour the idol. It does not break easily.
